Welcome to the Cardiac Education Classes! This year we are expanding our focus beyond patients with defibrillators (ICD’s) and adding some other broader topics to our calendar. The support group is designed for you and your family member and/or caregiver. It is a safe place where you can ask questions, listen to other’s stories, and meet those who share similar experiences. Some individuals find it helpful to join a support group. Our medical professionals are dedicated in providing education and support to people with cardiac disease.
We have presenters from a variety of areas speak on different topics regarding the heart and living with implanted cardiac devices.
Our meetings are held every other month on the 3rd Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the NHI classrooms. Refreshments are provided. We ask that you RSVP to 402-328-3906 with the number of people that will be attending the meeting.
We realize that driving from out of town may not be feasible or convenient for you. Some participants coordinate their trips and appointments to Lincoln on a day when the group meets. We would love for you to attend. If attending meetings is something that is not possible for you, please feel free to contact our arrhythmia nurses, in Lincoln at (402) 328-3703. They are great resource and will help answer your questions or concerns.
