Dr. Peter Dionisopoulos is the Chief Medical Officer of the Nebraska Heart Hospital as well as Division Medical Director of the West Cardiovascular Service Line, which encompasses cardiovascular services at several CHI Health hospitals: Nebraska Heart and St. Elizabeth in Lincoln, St. Francis in Grand Island, Good Samaritan in Kearney and St. Mary’s in Nebraska City.
In addition to his leadership role, he continues to see patients at Nebraska Heart in Lincoln and other outreach locations. He serves as the Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Health and Lipid Clinic and cares deeply about prevention of coronary artery disease.
Dr. Dionisopoulos earned his medical degree and completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is board certified in cardiovascular diseases.
He has lived in Lincoln for 20 years and is married with two sons. Dr. Dionisopoulos enjoys traveling with his family and is an avid sports fan. Also an enthusiast of art, he is a past board member and currently active in the Sheldon Art Association.
