Dr. Damle received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Dr. Damle completed his General Surgery Residency as well as his Cardiac and Thoracic Surgical Fellowship at the University of Colorado Denver. Following his surgical training,
Dr. Damle attended Duke University Medical Center, where he specialized in the surgical care of heart-failure patients and completed work in mechanical assist device implants.
Dr. Damle is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and its subspecialty of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Damle provides comprehensive cardiac and thoracic surgery including coronary artery by-pass graft surgery, cardiac valve repair and replacement, aortic aneurysm repair and the surgical treatment of lung cancer. Dr. Damle leads the Nebraska Heart surgical program for heart-failure patients who may be candidates for a left ventricular assist device (LVAD – mechanical heart).
Dr. Damle sees patients at the Nebraska Heart Institute Clinic and CHI Health Nebraska Heart (Heart Hospital) in Lincoln. He also provides outpatient clinic visits for patients at NHI clinics in Hastings and Grand Island.
