Education and Training:
A native Nebraskan, Dr. Martin received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he also completed fellowships in critical care and cardiology.
Dr. Martin is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, its subspecialty board of cardiovascular disease, as well as interventional cardiology. In addition to diagnostic and interventional cardiology, Dr. Martin is Medical Director for the Structural Heart Program at the Nebraska Heart Institute & CHI Health Nebraska Heart and is a member of the Heart Team at NHI to provide Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) therapy for patients with aortic valve disease.
Dr. Martin primarily sees patients at the Nebraska Heart Institute Medical Office Building Clinic, CHI Health Nebraska Heart and CHI Health St Elizabeth in Lincoln. He also provides clinical services to several communities in Nebraska and Kansas.
Dr. Martin lives in Lincoln and has two daughters. Dr. Martin is involved in community activities including the American Heart Association, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Make-A-Wish.
