Dr. Gallagher received his pre-medical bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago and his medical degree from the University of Nebraska in Omaha, Nebraska.
He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Parkland Hospital, in Dallas, Texas. He then completed his Cardiology and Electrophysiology Fellowships at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Gallagher is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in its subspecialty board of Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Gallagher specializes in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias providing comprehensive diagnostic and treatment therapies including Pulmonary vein isolation, cardiac mapping, cardiac ablation, implantation of pacemakers, internal cardiac defibrillators and bi-ventricular defibrillators.
Dr. Gallagher sees patients at the Nebraska Heart Institute Clinic and CHI Health Nebraska Heart (Heart Hospital) in Lincoln. He also provides outpatient clinic visits for patients at the NHI Hastings and Grand Island offices.
Dr. Gallagher and his wife, Margo, have one daughter. They enjoy time with their families and supporting their daughter’s school and extracurricular activities.
