Dr. Korpas received his medical degree from Semmelweis Medical School in Budapest, Hungary. He also holds a college degree from Apaczai College, University of W Hungary in Budapest.
He has completed an internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Western Pennsylvania Hospital.
Dr. Korpas is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Korpas provides patients with comprehensive cardiovascular care utilizing diagnostic technologies such as echocardiography and vascular imaging as well as nuclear imaging. Additionally, he performs diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures as well as pacemaker implants. Dr. Korpas is a member of the Nebraska Heart Structural Heart Program which includes the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure as an option for patients with heart-valve disease.
Dr. Korpas received the Outstanding Resident Award at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in 1998.
Dr. Korpas primarily sees patients at the NHI Medical Office building and CHI Health Nebraska Heart in Lincoln as well as visiting communities in Nebraska.
Dr. Korpas and his wife, Angela, live in Lincoln with their daughter and twin sons. Their interests include traveling as well as supporting their children’s activities.
