Rick L. Heirigs, MD Education: Dr. Heirigs received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, Vermillion, South Dakota. Training: He then completed an internal medicine residency as well as a cardiology fellowship at the Creighton University School of Medicine, Omaha, Nebraska. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and board-eligible for its subspecialty of cardiovascular diseases. Specialization: Dr. Heirigs is also a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Cardiology. He will specialize in preventative and diagnostic cardiology as well as experienced in nuclear cardiology, diagnostic coronary cardiac catheterization and trans-thoracic and trans-esophageal echocardiograms. Practice Locations: He primarily sees patients at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center Campus in North Platte, Nebraska as well as several other surrounding communities. Personal Interests: Dr. Heirigs and his wife, Laura, have three children. In their spare time they enjoy spending time with their children, triathlons/marathons, snow skiing, and mountain climbing. Dr. Heirigs is originally from South Dakota. |
